Bimbo Bodies: Nhuma First Impressions

When you think of bimbos, you probably think of bodies. In Second Life, there are lots of options for building the perfect bimbo body. A new team, Nhumana, has just released their first body. The Nhuma has bimbos buzzing. I’ve got mine. I’m here to let you know what it’s all about. Should you run out and by Second Life’s latest bimbo body>

Kupra 2.0?

There’s a lot I don’t know about the origins of Nhumana. But I’ll share what I’ve heard at the bimbo water cooler (which actually serves cocktails). Months before Nhumana launched, it was promoted by Sibilla Anton. Sibilla is one of the designers supporting the body right out of the gate. The people who were waiting in line to buy the Nhuma at launch were Sibilla loyalists.

I have heard that Inithium, the makers of the once-popular Kupra body, cut of designer support roughly a year ago. Some of the people behind Nhuma worked on Kupra. So this is, I think, a spiritual successor to Kupra in some ways. But I wouldn’t call it Kupra 2.0.

When it was released, Kupra broke the mold on curvy bodies in Second Life. It came out at a time when Maitreya was still largely dominant despite a lack of updates. But the main drawback with Kupra was its inflexibility. If you didn’t want a giant ass, you were going to need to invest in some deformers.

If nothing else, Nhuma has learned that lesson. This new body delivers the curves. But you’re not locked into a busty bimbo look. Unlike Kupra, which looked deformed on lower settings, the Nhuma body doesn’t have to be phat to look good.

Launch

You have to admire the marketing behind the launch of this body. Sibilla dangled fresh meat in front of her followers months before the release. By this point, bimbos have been salivating for the body without knowing much about it.

The original announcement had the Nhuma coming in mid-May. But just before the assumed release date, word came out that the body wouldn’t actually be available until May 31. Instead, you could join a group (with a 100L fee) that would allow early access to the Nhumana store.

Once you get into the store, you can buy a “core” (for another 100L). So before you buy the body, you’re in for 200 L’s. Not much, but not nothing. Once you buy the core, you have access to a free version of Nhuma. So that’s kind of a steal, right? If you want the full version (like moi) it’ll cost you 5K. Which is in line with the most popular bodies.

Nhuma is coming!
This chart shows a comparison of the two versions of the body.

Add-ons

Nhumana has announced that twelve add-ons have been planned for the body. That’s exciting but also worrisome. If you bought the full version, paid add-ons are a bit of a big ask for an unproven body. As long as they work with the free light version, that shouldn’t be a problem.

The first one is called Dreamgirl. It’s a squishy boob add-on releasing in June. And it’s free to everyone who bought the core! More to come on that and future add-ons.

My Verdict

Listen, I’m not known for making sensible decisions. Daddy bought my body for me (Thank you, daddy!). So thankfully, I don’t have to be sensible. But let’s pretend for a second I didn’t have access to daddy’s credit card… No, that’s too scary. I’ll just do my best to explain the pros and cons of Nhuma.

The biggest problem with any new body is that it is a gamble. If the body doesn’t gain wide support, you won’t be able to find clothes for it. This is what separates bodies like Legacy and Reborn from all the others. The full version of Nhuma is priced like a well-supported body when currently it is not.

Time will tell on that front. There’s definitely a lot of potential here. It’s supported by the Sibilla team. But the same could be said for Inithium’s Khara body which never caught on. So buyer be wary. If 5K is an investment for you, I’d suggest holding off on buying the full version of the body. At least wait for a sale.

Until then, if you’re tempted, grab that “free” version for 200 Ls. That’s kind of a bimbo no-brainer.

Coming Soon

As a blogger, I’m looking to see which stores adopt Nhuma. I might apply to some new stores that support the body. I’m interested in showing it off here, but I’m not looking to buy more outfits. My closet is already busting at the seams.

For my initial purchase, I picked up the full version of the body and a Velour skin fatpack. There are other skins available as well. Clothing options currently include Sibilla, De Masco, Faida and RAWR. Those are good brands, but I can get similar looks on my existing bodies from my current sponsors. Nhuma doesn’t have a dedicated blogging team, so my only outfit is the one that came with the body.

There are some sexy looking add-ons coming. I’ll probably invest in some of those. This blog started when I bought the Momma add-on for Kupra. Sibilla has confirmed that Momma will be coming to Nhuma, so I’ll be buying that bitch. Hopefully Sibilla updates prior Momma releases to be compatible with Nhuma as well (wink wink).

I’ll cover Nhuma along with all the other bimbo bodies. If it gains support, you’ll see more here. Especially if it gains support from stores I blog for. Otherwise, well, I don’t cover Khara either. So… fingers crossed this ain’t another Khara!

Update: I actually think the free light version of this body is going to be key to its success. People can wear the light body until designers are approved for Dev Kits. That process is underway. The future looks bright for this new bimbo body!
