Adventures of a Bimbo in Second Life

Bimbo Shout-Outs

Recently, I called out some Second Life residents for treating people poorly. I still have more to say on that topic. Lots more! Look out! Lacey’s throwing shade! But I don’t want to be all negative all the time. Bimbos aren’t like that. Instead, I want to shout out some residents for going above and beyond.

Bimbo Shout-Out Time!

Zmiya

I have been blogging for Zmiya for right around a year now. But I have to admit, I haven’t gotten around to them on a regular basis. Which is bad. I don’t like taking up a spot on blogger teams like that. Zmiya makes a variety of products, primarily home and furniture related. I haven’t been working in that space much recently.

Then I saw their newest release, the Iris House. It is truly gorgeous. So I decided it was time to dive back into home blogging. Unfortunately, I was having some problems rezzing the house. I couldn’t figure out what the problem was. So I did something I don’t love doing. I reached out directly to Zmiya in world.

To my surprise, she got back to me right away. She asked me a few questions and proposed some solutions. Nothing worked. Then she asked if she could come by my parcel and check it out herself. Yeah, she made a house call! I couldn’t believe it.

Long story short, my parcel wasn’t quite big enough for the house. So Zmiya offered to let me rezz it at her store! She ported back with me and made sure everything worked out just fine. Once I had rezzed the home, I broke it up into parts which I reassembled on my land. It worked perfectly.

This is how you build a brand! Treat people well and they will sing your praises. Word of mouth is so important in the relatively small virtual world. So kudos to Zmiya!

Luna Chelsea

As y’all know, I have been really excited about the new Nhuma body. Luna Chelsea was ahead of the curve because they offer some super sexy 2k BOM outfits. I reached out directly to see if they were looking for bloggers. Luna brought me in right away and we were off to the races!

So far, so good. But then Luna took it a step further. As the store started updating outfits for the new body, Luna sent me the updates in-world! The gave me a head start getting the updates out to my Nhuma crazy followers. It was a win-win for everybody.

Obviously, Luna was under no obligation to do that. But she remembered how excited I was about Nhuma and she went the extra mile. As a blogger, I’m going to remember Luna Chelsea took special care of me. That counts for something.

Second Life is Personal

Second Life is social. How you treat your fellow residents matters. Maybe more than anything. I like promoting stores and venues that treat people right. Everyone wins when we treat each other the way we want to be treated. #Positivity

Okay, that’s enough of that. LOL. I am going to make a point of doing these shout-outs from time to time. We should celebrate the ones who do it right.

I am also going to write about some of the problems I have experienced in Second Life. There’s more to get into when you’re being critical. So the negativity will likely outweigh the positivity in terms of volume. That’s not a reflection of my outlook on Second Life. I’m a fucking ray of sunshine! 😉

Thanks to Zmiya, Luna Chelsea, all of my lovely sponsors and most of all thanks to you for reading.
